Speaking of law and miracles, here in Chile a man was denied compensation from the government by a judge, several years ago. The guy was serving time and he was diagnosed with AIDS, but five grey years later, the diagnose changed. The national State Defence Council actually argued not only that the treatment was proper, but also that the man had become quite religious in those years, so he was kind of, uhm, cured of AIDS. I wish I were making this up.
