President Bush Succeeds in Failing!
George Bush, arguably (but only slightly) the worst president in the history of the country, has finally achieved — after nearly eight years — something no other U.S. President has achieved: American Research Group’s lowest approval rating ever:
Overall, 19% of Americans say that they approve of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president, 77% disapprove, and 4% are undecided.
Congratulations, President! No one likes you! Yes: Even Jesus disapproves of the way you are handling your job as president.
In a related story, the Bush administration is now comparing itself to Abraham Lincoln.
Yeah.
Comments
Regarding the Lincoln comparison, that article in the Washington University student newspaper about Gonzales had this bizarre quote:
Gonzales did concede that he made some mistakes during his tenure but that he served his country to the best of his ability, although he did not get into any specifics during his speech.
"In the pursuit of great causes, mistakes will be made," said Gonzales. "During my arena serving the President my face was marred by sweat, dust and blood."
That THAT man should talk about his "service" in terms that suggest torture, forced labor, or crucifixion may be the most galling thing I've read about this administration. God, why isn't it next year yet?
