What is whiplash?
Whiplash isĀ an injury to the soft tissues of the neck, usually caused by sudden extension and flexion of the neck, i.e. a quick movement back and forth. Whiplash is most common in rear-end car crashes, and can often result in injuries to the intervertebral joints, discs, ligaments, cervical muscles and nerve roots - it can also cause a neck sprain. Symptoms include: Neck pain and stiffness, headaches and dizziness, difficult swallowing and chewing , shoulder pain, and/or back pain. If you have suffered a neck injury or whiplash because of a car injury, see a physician and a local attorney with experience in these cases, as you might be eligible to receive compensation for your injuries, in the form of lost wages, medical bills, rental car charges and damage to your vehicle or property within your vehicle, in addition to pain and suffering damages.
