How can a will be revoked?

You can change or revoke your own will at any time and for any reason. However, for your revocation to be found legally valid, it must be done in a specific way. Generally, there are three ways that a will can be revoked:

1. A will can generally be revoked by law.

2. A will can generally be revoked by a physical act taken to the will.

3. A will can generally be revoked by the creation of a subsequent writing, like a new will or a codicil.
