What is a formula?

Formulas are one of the explicit categories of information enunciated in the Uniform Trade Secret Act as being entitled to trade secret protection. Generally, formulas include chemical formulas and formulas for making things like food, drugs and cosmetics. It can also include information which is similar to a technical formula, such as a recipe or an algorithm.
