Can trade secret rights be transferred?

Trade secret rights can be transferred from one person or company to another. This can be through a license, granting the other party a right to use or full rights can be permanently transferred by assignment, where all of the owner’s trade secret rights are transferred to the new party. In either situation, the assignment or license should include provisions ensuring that all parties maintain the secret nature of the underlying information.
