What Charite Spinal Discs?

Johnson & Johnson was the first company to produce an artificial spinal disc in the U.S. to potentially alleviate persistent back pain - the device was named Charité. Recently, however, questions about the durability of Charité have arisen. Some patients with degenerative disc disease who chose to have a Johnson & Johnson Charité spinal disc implanted are discovering increased pain or similar pain levels as compared to before the operations. Surgeons predict that over the next 10 to 15 years there will be a wave of patients who will suffer complications and require a more dangerous surgical removal of the device; furthermore, some patients feel that Johnson & Johnson inadequately warned them of the low success rate of the operation and device. If you (or a loved one) have been injured by the use of a Charité, you may qualify for a lawsuit. Contact a local attorney for more information.
