What are Biomet Hip Replacements?
In 2001, the FDA announced that Biomet and seven other U.S. medical devices firms would recall hip implants because of problems with the zirconia ceramic femoral head that can fracture and require surgical replacement. Symptoms of a fractured zirconia ceramic femoral head include hip pain, a sensation of grinding or limitation of motion, and the devices tend to break between 19 and 29 months after they’ve been implanted. If you or a member of your family has had to have a hip replacement repaired and the hip replacement device was manufactured by Biomet, then you may qualify for a lawsuit claim.
