What are the responsibilities of an employee injured on the job?

If an employee is injured on the job, he or she must receive immediate medical attention and notify the employer within 48 hours if the employee will miss more than seven days of work time. The injured employee must also notify the Industrial Accidents Commission of the accident, providing the Commission with the employer’s name, the date of the accident, and the severity of the injury.
