What are the inspection laws with regard to chemical exposure?

Under OSHA (the Occupational Health and Safety Act), an employer must keep records regarding any chemical exposure for 30 years. Any employee has the right to inspect such records pertaining to chemical exposure in the workplace and when a written request to conduct an inspection is made, the employer must comply within 15 days. OSHA inspectors also have the right to inspect these records.
