How long do I need to work before I qualify for FMLA?
To be eligible for FMLA, an employee must work for the same employer for at least 12 months, and have worked at least 1250 hours over that 12-month period. The 1250 hours would include hours actually worked, including over-time hours and holiday pay. It would not, however, include hours paid by sick, vacation, personal, or other time-paid-off related pay.
