What is the Katrina Emergency Tax Relief Act of 2005?

On September 23, 2005, the President signed the Katrina Emergency Tax Relief Act of 2005 into law. As one could probably guess, this Act provided tax relief related to Hurricane Katrina. For example, it allows people who sheltered Katrina evacuees to claim an additional deduction that they otherwise would not be able to claim.
