What is Publication 936?

IRS Publication 936, entitled “Home Mortgage Interest Deduction,” relates to interest expenses deductions for loans which are secured by your principal residence or a second home. These interest expenses are generally deductible if you are itemizing your expenses (as opposed to taking the standard deduction).
