When does child support end?

Child support ends when the child reaches the age of majority (18 0r 21, depending on the state) or if the child is deemed emancipated (by, for instance, getting married). Some states, however, end support obligations once a child graduates high school or turns 18, whichever comes later. However, mentally or physically disabled children may carry support obligations long into adulthood.
