What is an attribution non-commercial share alike license?

Within the context of the Creative Commons, an attribution non-commercial share alike license is one of the six main types of creative commons licenses. As explained by the Creative Commons: “This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.” Thus, this license expands upon the attribution non-commercial no derivatives license - while folks can still only use or share an author’s work with proper attribution and for a non-commercial purpose, they can also create derivative works as long as the same license is applied to those derivative works.
