What is an organizer?

An organizer is the person or entity in charge of setting up the LLC and filing the articles of organization with the secretary of state. When an attorney is hired to set up the LLC, they generally take on the role of the organizer. The organizer has fairly broad powers up until the managers assume control of the LLC. Once they take over, the organizer basically no longer has any power or management ability left.
