Corporations are controlled and managed by their directors and officers. The directors generally handle the larger corporate issues while the officers handle the more day-to-day management functions. By way of comparison, a general partnership is generally managed by all of its partners, a limited partnership is generally managed by its general partners, and LLC is generally managed by either its managers or its managing members.
