Does the FLSA require severance pay, sick leave, vacations, or holidays?

No. The Fair Labor Standards Act does not require employers to provide severance pay, nor does it require employers to provide pay for holidays or sick leave. Finally, the FLSA does not require employers to provide paid vacation time, or vacation time at all. The Family Medical Leave Act, however, does provide 12 weeks of unpaid leave for certain medical or family situations.
