What is the charter document that creates an LLC called?

For an LLC, the charter document which essentially creates the LLC is generally called the articles of organization (although some states refer to it as the certificate of organization). By way of comparison, the document which creates a partnership is called a statement of partnership or a certificate of limited partnership, and the document which creates a corporation is generally referred to as the articles of incorporation or the certificate of incorporation.
